TIBET

In 2007 I visited the East Nyenchentangla Mountains of Tibet with Bruce Normand. The range has hundreds of 6000m peaks of which only a handful have been climbed. From Kathmandu in Nepal we travelled overland up the Friendship Highway to Lhasa in Tibet. Two days jeep ride later saw us setting up camp in a walled enclosure by the road. We made various forays into the valleys and mountains exploring and climbing small peaks. On one excursion we saw and photographed large fresh tracks in the snow. The locals said they were from a yeti.
