In 2019 I had the privilege of visiting Ilulissat in western Greenland leading a small group of photographers for Wild Photography Holidays. Disko Bay is at the outlet of a long fjord. A glacier at the far end pours off the ice cap and calves 7% of the total ice that is calved from the Greenland icecap. In August of 2019 I visited the Kulusuk area on the east coast on a two week sea kayak exploration of the area with friends. The scenery, light and wildlife including many close up whale encounters was truly spectacular.
