A special birthday present from Lucy in 2016 took us to the Galapagos Islands. We opted to 'wing it' with regard to organising a boat tour which worked out very well. Being low season, on arrival we had the choice of a number of tours of different lengths and itineraries. We opted for an 8 day island hop on board the good ship Guantanamera. The islands are all that you may expect and more. Whilst all trips are necessarily controlled for the purpose of protecting what is a very special place, it did not detract from the experience which is highly recommended.
