I lead a group of bikers for KE Adventure Travel on a traverse of the beautiful kingdom of Bhutan in 2011. Starting with a visit to the Tiger's Nest monastery in the upper Paro Valley we traversed the country, up and down and up and down again a few times. The longest downhill section started at the Thumsing La at an altitude of 3800m, the descent finished a fantastic 85km later at Lingmithang at 600m. We eventually biked to the Assam border of India at Samdrup Jongkhar but not before being blessed by the reincarnation of Drukpa Kunley, the Divine Madman (he of the penis mural fame).
